We work closely with growers to develop innovative growing media mixes with a lower environmental footprint, without compromising performance or lifespan.

In collaboration with our BVB Substrates customer SV.CO, a Dutch ornamental plant grower, we have tested circular raw materials such as reed canary grass and wood fibre.

For growers, sustainability is a continuous journey, with improvements being made at every step. It’s not just about optimizing the growing medium — lighting, irrigation, and heating solutions all play a central role. Likewise, the choice of packaging materials and pest control methods affects the overall environmental footprint.
