7. User friendly

Our solutions should be safe to use, easy to use and contribute to the sustainability of the user. Therefore, for any product, this is part of the Sustainability Compass.

About the Sustainability Compass

Maximum score

For determination of the user friendliness of a product, a maximum of 30 points can be reached. Optimum use (effectiveness), safety and user sustainability support are all weighed equally. This aspect is not used for raw materials.

Calculating the score

Per aspect the final score is a percentage calculated by dividing the actual score by the maximum score. In case of a Product the maximum score is 30. This aspect is not used for raw materials.

Example calculation

You are calculating the score for a Product.

  • It is fulfilling legal requirements, and has some sustainable information on the packaging
  • It is safe to use and has documentation about subcontractors and suppliers
  • It has clear sustainability benefits, but no instructions

The determination of Socially responsible for this example would be:  (5+5+5) / 30 = 15%.

Glossary
